A research arena that acknowledges and understands the complexity of modern industrial fishing and food production is needed. CRISP will provide this arena by bringing together world-leading Norwegian companies that supply fishery technology and marine products and scientific research institutions into a virtual centre.
The primary objective of CRISP is to enhance the position of Norwegian fisheries related companies as leading suppliers of equipment and seafood to a global market through the development of sustainable trawl and purse seine technology.
CRISP consists of industry partners, research partners and other partners.
The Institute of Marine Research in Bergen serves as the host institution for CRISP and is employer to the centre director Aud Vold.
CRISP focus its research and development within three pillars.
