CoRdiNet announced it’s second Call for Expression of Interest during the European Space Week in Helsinki on December 3rd. The closing data for the call was March 8th and we are thrilled to report that we have received a total of 24 proposals for new ideas and approaches to increase the user uptake and awareness of Copernicus data and products! The proposals represent a wealth of interesting new ideas with topics comprising forestry, fire management, AI, and data use. Furthermore, the proposals target promotion and outreach towards society, the next generation, and PA. In addition, several proposals focus on education and training, new teaching methods, and new forms of data use.

The applicants come from all over Europe, totaling 13 countries, and include academia, SMEs, and public sector organizations. Our independent Evaluation Board, consisting of experts from relevant organizations including universities, research organizations, and public administration, from across Europe will evaluate all the applications and rank the proposals according to the criteria announced in the call. Based on the evaluation, a sub-set of the proposals will be recommended for funding. The project selection is planned to be finalized by the end of April.

We are excited to bring onboard new associated partners and we look forward to presenting their progress with the successful projects on our website.
